Athetoid Cerebral Palsy

  Our son David is described as being afflicted with “Athetoid Cerebral Palsy” as a result of medical misadventure at birth.

  High forceps, blue baby. Hospital saying he would be ‘a vegetable’. Life support turned off. In New Zealand we are not able to prosecute for this type of personal injury, as would be done in the USA. Our experience with David’s birth was absolutely traumatic for us all. We felt we had been abandoned by the Doctors and the hospital system. Well we had been – they told us there was nothing that could be done for David and we should take him home and hope for the best. We knew that we were not going to take their ‘word’ as gospel and we set about a quest to do whatever it takes to make David’s life as normal as possible. A quest and drive in our lives that will probably never completely go away.

  AND we proved them wrong. David today is not a vegetable. Today David is an integrated member of our community. David is still severely physically handicapped but he is of normal intelligence and is at a normal year for his age at school.

  Everything my wife Lynda and I have done in the last 16 years, and there has been plenty of things we have investigated (we even have a hyperbaric oxygen chamber in our facility), has been initially to find the next thing that might benefit David.

  Enter the SCENAR/SOLARIS/SOFT LASER FUSION.

Low Level Laser Incorporated Into Daily Therapy

   Approximately 2.5 years ago, after watching your demonstration at the AACM Conference, I decided to incorporate the low level laser into our daily therapy. Over that time period, we have used the laser for impingement syndrome, tendinitis of the elbow, carpal tunnel, knee and foot problems as well as traumatic and surgical wounds. Throughout this time, I have noted significant accelerated healing of wounds, less scarring and faster healing with surgical procedures. We also had one patient with chronic prostatitis that completely resolved after only one treatment with the Rotary Multiplex low level laser. I feel the low level laser has enhanced my ability to offer a wider scope of treatment to my patients and I believe this has helped many of our patients more than they are aware of. I have also had several family members with dental issues that improved dramatically after one to two treatments with the laser. If I had to chose one piece of equipment in our office to take with me as a treatment modality, it would be the low level laser. Dogs With Painful Otits Externa (Ear Infection)

   I have used low level laser therapy in the exam room as a pretreatment on a dog with painful otitis externa and then cleaned the ear without incident. The dogs owners couldn't touch the ear at home. Dr. Mark Richards

Recurring Ear Infections

   Brandy, our Golden Retriever, suffers from recurring ear infections in her left ear. When the condition arises, we clean her ear and then laser it for one 3-minute session per day. Following this procedure, the infection is normally completely gone in just 2-3 days. Kip Lytle, SD

Low Level Laser Used Daily In Busy Pet Hospital

    The goal of my investment in the low level laser was to improve the comfort of pets that suffer from pain or to expedite healing of disease conditions. Just today, we treated 7 patients with low level laser therapy. Three of the most dramatic improvements include Theo, Maggie and Nike. Theo is an 8 year old cat with cruciate injury of 3 months duration. Before his knee surgergy he received 3 laser treatments, his lameness resolved and the scheduled surgery was cancelled. Maggie is a 13 year old beagle that had lower back disc problems and bilateral cruciate surgery in the past. She would moan and groan when trying to lie down. After her first treatment she climbed on the kitchen counter and ate the cat food! Nike is a 5 year old schnauzer that presented with severe back pain. All Animal Lovers

I had a neat surprise yesterday.  I had a 7 year old cat that I couldn't get through the pylorus during endoscopy, I sat and waited then tried to get through for ten minutes and was about to give up when we lasered over the stomach.  Within 1 minute, it opened wide and was relaxed.  This is an excellent example of the muscle relaxing benefits of the Q1000 laser.

Severe Headaches

    Following heart surgery, my husband began experiencing severe headaches which the doctor said was caused by a condition called arteritis (inflammation of the arteries in the head). The prescribed medication took about one hour to stop the terrible pain. The last time he had one of these headaches, we used the laser on his head. The pain was GONE in less than two minutes! Horse Back Injury

    My horse had a back injury that completely defied the vet. He had not been able to tolerate a rider for three months. Whiplash

Horses Sight Restored

 Atrial Fibrillation

 Coronary Artery Disease

Wrist Inflammation

   My daughter Whitney had a severe wrist inflammation in 2003.  She had pain in her wrist from overusing it on the tennis court.  She could not play tennis without pain.  Whitney received one demonstration with the Q1000 and 808 Enhancer probe in her wrist felt better almost immediately.  After playing tennis and a 100% level, the pain never returned.  Whitney ended up winning the 2003 South Dakota high school tennis singles title.  I would like to thank Doug Phillips for demonstrating low level laser therapy to Whitney and I.
